FIRST IMPRESSIONS:
The Barbie the Movie (2023) Barbie in Gold Disco Jumpsuit
Doll (HPJ99) is such a lovely doll! I really like her outfit! She reminds me of
one of the gorgeous Barbie dolls from the 1980s that I had as a kid. And that
particular Barbie was the very first one that I had been gifted as a child for
Christmas. Could it be that this one is based upon that one? It goes without
saying that I have a soft spot in my heart for this doll due to nostalgia. So of
course, I must get this doll and have her as one of the main dolls for display
in my collection. I get the feeling that the inspiration for a lot of the dolls
that they created for this movie came directly from the 80s and the 90s. I must
be about the same age as the writers, directors, and producers because each of
these dolls I recognize, and I feel that internally I am almost preprogrammed
to feel warm towards them and to want to purchase them. I am absolutely loving
her look and that shimmery gold outfit. Every piece of clothes from this
product line, I totally want my other dolls to wear too! Looking forward to
getting this doll soon!
