FIRST IMPRESSIONS:
This Barbie the Movie (2023) Perfect
Day Barbie Doll (HPJ96) has kept me waiting too long to review her and
her loveliness! I really love everything about her, and I don't see or
acknowledge what the nitpicky fuss or hyper-criticism is all about. Let me get
this out of way. Her face sculpt in person is gorgeous! Perhaps it is an issue
of the right photo angles, I would have to test it to see over a period of
photo shoots. For me it comes down to preference and I do prefer a more doll
like face instead of the caricature style of face sculpting that this doll has.
I still love her all the same and don't love her less! Her hair is so shiny and
pretty and the bangs are cute even if it doesn't look exactly like Margot
Robbie's bangs from the movie. I think it is still flattering. I just love her
outfit!!! It is quintessential Barbie and absolutely Barbiecore! I love her
pink gingham dress and would love to have one of my own. Is that too much to
ask? I don't need the shoes because I don't need to fall all over myself in stilettos
that I can't walk in, but I just want the dress please!!!! Who do I talk to or
bargain a mule and a jug of milk with to have this done, okay? And, yes, the
limited articulation that she has as the main character is a little off putting
but at this point, I am completely over it. There are ways of giving these
dolls an upgrade in articulation from fashionista body to made to move and
plenty of tutorials can help the apprehensive beginner. Also, there are other
things to be more concerned about like figuring out when Wave 2 dolls will be
dropped! Whoopi!
